USCIS Announces Re-Registration Period for Syrian TPS Recipients

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced Monday, September 23rd that individuals from Syria with temporary protected status (TPS) must complete re-registration between September 23rd and November 22nd, 2019 in order to have their TPS status extended to the new date of March 31st, 2021.

According to the announcement, “all applicants must submit Form I-821, Application for Temporary Protected Status,” and “may also request an EAD by submitting Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, when they file Form I-821.”

USCIS also stated that Syrian TPS recipients can find re-registration procedures in the Federal Register and on the USCIS website.
